Types of Engraving

Hand Engraving

The art of hand engraving can be described as the process in which a hardened, shaped, and sharpened piece of steel, called a 'Graver', is pushed through the metal's surface. As the name suggests, hand engraving entails the use of one’s hands and a graver to create detailed inscriptions onto a piece of jewelry. Whereas powered techniques create engravings that are “clean” and uniform, hand engraving creates a dynamic engraving where every section of the inscription differs in carve depth, length, and angle.

Computerized Diamond Tip Engraving

Computerized  diamond tip or diamond drag engraving produces a clean precise light engraving on a chosen surface. A diamond tip controlled by a computer will scratch a surface to achieve the engraving. This type of engraving can be used on multiple surfaces including metal, glass, and plastic. The design is pre-programmed into a computer that controls the machine, making the engraving as precise as possible. Rotary machine engraving is more affordable than hand-engraving because it takes comparatively less time.

3D Laser Engraving Jewelry

Direct Diode Computerized Laser Engraving

Our 3D laser engraving is the most recent technology on the market among the ways available. This method delivers great results, and takes the shortest time to complete. We can personalize with traditional looking engraving, reproducing handwriting or drawings, cut out nameplates, etch photographs, cut out logos, create realistic looking fingerprints, and even sculpt low-relief 3D faces to create uniquely personal objects and jewelry.
